Overall purpose of the Job:-

To ensure that the company values are adhered to and legal compliances are always met and demonstrate to the employees, customers, stakeholders and the authorities concerned that being legally right is highly essential and important to HDFC Life.

Job Description:-

 To handle all type of litigations from end to end (Criminal ,Civil, Ombudsman complaint, Consumer, Arbitration etc)including representations before the police authorities and co-ordination with the external counsel, Effective management of the Litigations.
Closure in minimum time at minimum possible cost, providing updates for the MIS, drafting instructions, Legal notice replies and vetting applications.
Support zones / regions in handling various queries, having legal implications.
Extensively co-ordinate with and advise the business functions on legal issues relating to the Insurance Claims, Labour law,HR,Branch operations etc.
In consultations with the external lawyer advise company on leasing transactions, including title opinion, drafting, vetting and negotiations LOI, lease agreements and other documentation pertaining to the setting up of branches and offices in the zone. Providing end to end Legal assistance in setting, closure, shifting of branch offices.
Monitor compliance in all branches / zones and also compliance

Candidate Requirement:-

LLB Graduate with min 6-8 years of experience into all types of litigation .
Strong drafting & arguing skills, excellent communication skills. Investigative acumen with business focus.
Candidates from Insurance Industry are preferred.
